Are 6 For Gold competitions legitimate?
Yes. 6 For Gold is a UK-based prize competition business. All competitions include a free entry route and are open to UK residents aged 18 and over. Full terms and conditions apply.
Who can enter?
You must be 18 or over and a UK resident to enter paid competitions. Free entry is available to eligible participants. See our Terms & Conditions for full eligibility rules.
How does the draw work?
Each competition has a set number of tickets. When a competition sells out or reaches its draw date, a winner is selected using a random number generator. Results are published on our Winners page.
What prizes can I win?
Prizes include cash, gift cards, experiences and more. Each competition page shows the exact prize and ticket price. Free entry is available on every eligible competition.
How much does it cost to enter?
Ticket prices vary by competition — typically from 50p to £2 per ticket. You can also enter every eligible competition for free. See individual competition pages for pricing.
Do I have to enter my card details every time?
No. We offer PayPal, bank transfer and other payment options available at checkout.
We also offer a credit wallet for your convenience, allowing you to add funds to your account and use your available balance across eligible competitions.
To view your wallet, go to Wallet → My Account → My Details.
How do I make an account?
Simply enter your email address and personal details on our sign up page.
You must be 18 or over and meet our eligibility requirements to enter our competitions.
Creating an account is free and allows you to view and manage your competition entries and access our Player Protection tools.
How do I enter for free?
Every eligible competition has a free entry route.
Online Free Magpie Entry
To enter online for free, click the Free Magpie Entry button on the relevant competition page. No purchase is required.
Online Free Magpie entries are placed into that competition's free-entry pool, which is represented by Ticket #1.
If Ticket #1 is selected by the random number generator as the winning ticket, a further random draw is carried out between the valid online free entrants in that competition's free-entry pool to determine the winner.
Free Postal Entry
You can also enter by post.
Send a postcard or letter by ordinary 1st or 2nd class post including:

Postal Address
Email Address
One contact number
The Competition ID shown on the relevant competition page
Only one entry may be submitted per postcard or letter. All required details must be clearly written or typed. Incomplete or illegible entries may not be accepted.

Each valid postal entry will be allocated an available ticket number for the relevant competition and will be included directly in the main draw.
Postal entries must be received before the relevant competition closes. You must have an active 6 For Gold account when your postal entry is processed, and the details supplied with your postal entry must match the details registered to your account.
How do I know what I've entered or if a draw has happened?
Tickets for competitions that have not yet been drawn can be found by clicking your Wallet and viewing the Active Tickets tab.
Results for completed draws are available on our Winners page.
How long do I have to pay for my ticket?
When you select a ticket number and add it to your basket, that number is temporarily reserved for you.
If you change your mind, click the number again to remove it or use the X button in your basket.
Reserved tickets must be paid for within the checkout period shown. Unpaid tickets will normally be released back into the competition after 10 minutes.
This may be reduced to 5 minutes where necessary to prevent tickets being held unfairly, for example when a competition is close to selling out.
What is Lucky Dip?
The Lucky Dip option lets you reserve available ticket numbers at random rather than choosing the numbers yourself.
Where the competition includes Instant Wins, Lucky Dip tickets are treated in the same way as manually selected tickets.
What are your Fair Play rules?
We want everyone to have a fair opportunity to enter our competitions.
If a competition is close to selling out, we may reduce the checkout reservation period to 5 minutes to prevent tickets being held without payment.
We may release tickets being held unfairly and may place reasonable restrictions on accounts where we identify repeated or deliberate abuse of the reservation system.
What if I win?
We'll contact you using the details registered to your account, so please make sure they are kept up to date.
We will normally contact winners by text or email. We may need to verify your identity, age and eligibility before a prize is released.
You do not need to watch a live draw in order to claim a prize.
What is VIP?
VIP is a 31-day subscription costing £6.99.
It is not a rolling subscription. Your VIP access expires after 31 days and you can choose whether to purchase it again.
VIP members receive access to benefits including exclusive competitions, jackpots and freebies, subject to the individual terms of those promotions.
VIP competitions are shown in gold in the competitions section.
VIP membership does not increase your chances of winning standard competitions and does not automatically enter you into a competition.
When are draws done?
Each competition has its own draw date, shown on the individual competition page. Please check the competition page for the specific draw date.
Draw information and results are also published through our website and social channels.
You do not need to be a member of our Facebook group or watch a live draw to win.
What Player Protection tools are available?
You can access Player Protection from your account.
Our current tools include:
Spending Limits — set a Daily or Monthly spending limit, including £0
Cool-Off — temporarily prevent paid competition entries
Self-Exclusion — restrict paid competition participation for a longer period
Restrictions that have already been activated may not be cancelled or shortened early.
